Education Leader – Provided counseling and guidance for students, serving as mentor, and career consultant and internship director. Developed, led new courses as Adjunct Professor, in marketing, emerging technologies, leadership and sports management at Fordham University, Pace University, Marist College, State University of New York and Manhattanville College. Walter served as Professor of Sports Marketing and Sponsorship at Pace University, as a facilitator on small business development for the Women’s Enterprise Development Center at Marist College, and as mentor to Fordham University students at the Fordham Foundry Gabelli School of Business.
Walter has served as a judge on the New York State Regional Student Business Plan Competition at Marist College since it launched in 2012. Other programs he has helpeed launch include the Fordham University Gabelli School of Business Incubator, and the Business of Sports School at Reuters headquarters in NYC. He has been a guest lecturer at Manhattanville College, Fordham University, Manhattan College, and Marist College, and the Business of Sports School in NYC. He has reviewed and edited hundreds of business plans, working with aspiring college students.
Walter has appeared as a featured speaker on national, regional and local media, including NBC News, Business News Daily, Cablevision News 12, and WCBS NewsRadio 88, and has in featured in leading publications including Entrepreneur Magazine, The Gannet Journal News, and other news media outlets.
Walter earned his degree in Psychology from Oswego State University, and MBA from Fordham University as a graduate from an innovative Executive MBA program featured in the New York Times.
